Alexander the great was born in July 356 BC in Pella, which back then was the capital city of Macedonia (in today’s days, it is located in Greece). He was son of Philip of Macedon: a great general and organizer, and the one that had unified most of the City-States; and Olympias: princess of Epiru. As a young boy, Alexander showed great leadership qualities, and was always fearless, strong, and eager to learn. For example: he domesticated, the beautiful Bucephalus, a horse that no one else would take care off. Thanks to his fathers trainings, Alexander became even more strong hearted.
